French 18th Century Amber Wine Keg
Dimensions: 16″H x 17″Diameter
This amber wine keg, or demijohn as they are sometimes called, remains fully intact after almost two hundred and thirty years. Still in wonderful condition, this piece would be a wonderful addition to your space, giving it an element of texture and color. Colored glass is used to protect the wine from being damaged by the sun’s intense rays. Amber glass was first used, then gave way to green glass. This piece has a fun bulbous, round shape. Made of blown glass in 1790s France.
